How our ideas link to the artist and song . .

I feel that our ideas link to the artist and the song, as they are both very girly and the song is all about to best friends that never leave each others side, which we are trying to portray through out our video. The song also sounds rather fun and care free which the characters in our video are, as they explore many locations such as london, parks, bus stops, middle of roads . etc.

I will be the main person filming as the others will be the ones being filmed, however they both will get a chance to film and therefore gain the experience of using the HD camera.

These are the kind of outfits we are planning to use in our video, to give it a creative vibe and using a lot of different outfits will give the effect that it has been filmed over a longer amount of time.

I like this video because it is very bright and colourful and in somewhat childlike as of all of the drawings appearing around Coldplay. They use special effects which is rarely used in videos, which makes their video more interesting.

Another video which has effects alike to this which is child like is Cher Lloyd's 'Swagger Jagger'. This has many shapes, bright colours and bubble writing popping up around her as she is walking around and singing.

What I Learned from the focus group . .

I learned that many people feel that the song we have chose is rather child like, fun and playful, and can be enjoyed by a certain type of people, mainly in the young female category. This will suite our group as we are three young females and like to give a energetic and playful vibe, to our work.

This is our Focus group, which contains a range of people, that we asked three main questions to. There is slight humour within this making it a bit more interesting to watch. 

Risk Assessment ;

- No Filming in Inappropriate places
- Check safety of locations
- Minimise Risk of Theft of equipment
- Make sure it is known to others where we are
- Check all equipment is working
- Make sure we have permission of filming if necessary
- Permission of those in which we are filming
- Never film alone
- When using fire make sure everything flammable is clear from the fire.

A little bit about Daisy Dares you;

Daisy May Keely Coburn being her real name, was born in 1993, and is a british singer/songwriter. Her stage name is a reference to a 1990s british Tv show called ZZZap!
She was managed by Empire and signed to Jive which is a part of Sony Records.
Her first single 'Number One Enemy' which features Chipmunk, reached the top 20s in the UK.

This picture is of our spider diagram showing all of our ideas for our music video. 

Our main plan is to have a video with a lot of random shots in a large number of different places, with bright colours throughout. Our average idea for the costumes are fun and playful and will fit the theme of the song as it sounds fun and energetic as the meaning of the song being two friends being close and doing everything together which we will attempt to portray and hopefully it will show in the end product.  

Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O Connor

This video caused great controversy  as of a slight tear in which dropped down Sinead's face in the middle of this video. This was because her Mother had recently passed away and the lyrics at that moment of the song said 'mama'. I like this video as most of it is just mainly a shot of Sinead's face showing her beauty.

Request Accepted!

A few hours later to sending the email we recieved a reply allowing us to use the song! So now all we need is to get started filming. The following image is a screenshot of the email. 

Requesting a song . . .

As my group and I decided that we wanted a song from a signed artist. We thought to research the contact details of the people whom were able to give us the permission to use the song to avoid copyright issues. Harley found the contact details and was able to call them, where she was then given a email address, in which she was to email explaining what we wanted, why we wanted it, how much it would be appreciated and where we were from. We now have to wait for a reply   to see if our request has been accepted. 

We asked for the permission of the song 'Rosie' by Daisy Dares you.
